As we’re just coming into spring in Australia and having just gone through winter I thought I would share one of my must have products for the winter for all gorgeous ladies in other parts of the world. This product is also perfect for anyone who has dry patches or dehydrated skin.
‘Use Oatifix to clean and soften dry and sensitive skin. You will be delighted to hear that a blend of fine oatmeal, fresh bananas, ground almonds and vanilla smells is a bountiful breakfast for the skin. Oats are wonderful things; they calm and soothe irritated skin. Ground almonds give you an exfoliating scrub, and bananas are a vitamin-rich emollient. Give your skin the Oatifix it needs.’
This face mask is a must have in my collection for a number of reasons. I’ve mentioned in other posts that my skin has been terribly dry this winter and make up just would not stick to my nose on most days. This mask has definably restored moisture back into my skin and made applying makeup so much easier and made the appearance of my makeup so much smoother and nicer. The mask is so affordable, it smells amazing and overall it’s enjoyable to use.
The Lush Oatafix mask contains oats and bananas. It smells so good that I read the ingredients on the back to see if it was safe to taste it (lol!). For anyone interested, it isn’t edibile! This is a fresh mask that you keep in the fridge. I usually buy a small tub which lasts two months depending on the date it’s made. The mask is cool and refreshing on dry irrirated skin.
The only downside is that it’s quite hard to apply. It doesn’t spread as easily as other Lush masks I’ve used so I’d recommend putting this on over a sink. You will need to gently press it on and then spread. The oats are gentle so there won’t be any tugging, it just might fall off a bit as you’re trying to apply.
Once applied it feels nice and nourishing straight away and as I said it just smells great. It doesn’t become hard or tight like other masks. I leave it on for 30 mins or so and then wash it off in the shower. The oats gently exfoliate the skin and the non oaty bits feel like a gorgeous oil which leaves your skin bright and soft.
My dry patches are non existent after using this mask. I recommend using at least once a week, twice If you can.
If you’ve tried this mask I’d love to hear what you thought. Or if you’ve tried other Lush face masks I’d love to hear about them too so comment below or email me
