A running theme with a lot of my blog posts lately is reviews of products that weren’t easy for me to get in Australia and one of the products I was dying to try was this Sleek Highlighting Palette. This product is great value for money and here’s the reasons why.
Solstice instantly enhances the complexion with a radiant glow, the highly pigmented metallic finishes create a gorgeous luminous sheen on the skin.
- This versatile face and body highlighting palette suits all skin tones
- Includes two baked powders, one luxurious cream formula and one silky shimmer powder
The palette is 4 highlighting products in gold packaging. Love it! It also has a handy mirror which is a big bonus for palettes and it also comes with a brush. I’m not going to lie, I’ll probably never use the brush.
The first highlight is a cream called Ecliptic. The texture is thin and creamy which I like. I find a lot of cream products can hit pan quickly If they’re thick but I don’t see this hitting pan anytime soon.
Ecliptic applies nicely to the skin, I found it easy to blend and the finish and colour is a pink tone similar to benefit high beam.
The second highlight is a powder called Hemisphere. It’s a beautiful marble effect, pink highlight. It looks really nice over Ecliptic as an extra pop of highlight if you’re into a dramatic look.
The third is a powder highlight called subsolar. This is a neutral white gold highlight. It’s a highlight that everyone would get good use out of and it will go with every makeup look.
The fourth is another highlight powder called Equinox. This is another marble effect highlight and this one is peach toned. This is my favourite from the palette, I absolutely love the peach tone.
The texture of all the powders are quite powdery but I think it’s what you’d expect from an affordable palette especially with the main ingredients being mica and talc. In saying that, all the highlights are easy to blend and give a gorgeous glow.
I really like that the shades in this Sleek Highlighting Palette are more shimmery than glittery. They’re easy to work with and overall I’m really impressed. It comes with a very affordable price tag of 12.49 and it’s available in most pharmacies. I can’t wait to try out some more Sleek products since trying this palette!
