As soon as I saw the colours in the Too Faced Peanut Butter Jelly Palette it was firmly on my wish list. I couldn’t wait for it to come out and as soon as it did it was in my shopping basket and I was eating noodles for the week! Was it worth it? I’m not so sure!
Inspired by the social media sensation that is Peanut Butter from our bestselling Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Collection, we created this limited edition peanut butter palette of nine gorgeous matte and shimmer shades featuring antioxidant-rich cocoa powder with a creamy peanut butter twist! Includes our signature Glamour Guide with three looks to get you started.
Too Faced Peanut Butter Jelly Palette is a palette of 9 shadows that comes in a small tin case. I love that there’s a mirror in the palette and that it comes with directions for 3 different looks.
As soon as I opened the palette I could smell the sweet scent of cocoa which is one of the ingredients of the shadows. The scent is sweet but it doesn’t bother me, or put me off using it. I don’t have any other Too Faced palettes but all of their eyeshadows have a some sort of cocoa scent. I know a lot of people love it.
The shadows are all gorgeous shades. I’m drawn to so many of them, particularly Peanut Butter, Nuts About U and Peanut Brittle. I love warm orange tones.
They’re all really buttery while not being so soft that they crumble. I like that there was hardly any fall out. They blend really nicely and I found them easy to use.
I’ve tried using these with and without primer but every single time I’ve used the shimmer shadows they crease on the lid which is so disappointing because they are so beautiful. This is obviously not the most affordable palette so I would expect them not to crease. It is really beautiful palette but for this reason I just don’t think it was worth the high price.
Have you tried any too faced shadows? If so Which ones did you like?
