I love facemasks so much and I have so many different ones in my collection. They’re definitely one of my spending weaknesses when it comes to skincare. When I heard about Glamglow I knew I had to try it. It’s been hyped up so much with a lot of celebrities claiming it to be their holy grail. So many bloggers also featured this on their monthly favourites and I suffered from serious FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) until I got my hands on some.

I was wary of the all the hype surrounding the mask and didn’t really want to spend my money on a full size before trying it as it is on the expensive side. I finally got my hands on some samples from Ozsale.com. They often repeat some of their offers so keep your eyes peeled as it will probably appear again.
Mine came in small 10g tubes but the full size is in a jar. Many people use a brush to apply from the jar for hygiene reasons and I think that this is a great idea. The directions say to apply a thin layer on clean skin and leave for 5-20 minutes. This is exactly what I did. I leave it on for 20 mins.
The mask goes on the skin as your typical mud mask and dries into a light green colour. Any blemishes and deep or large pores take longer to turn to that pale green colour making these areas visible.
The mask has quire a strong scent . It smells like green plants with woody undertones. I believe the ingredients include a lot of flower extracts so the smell isn’t all that surprising. It’s worth thinking about if strong fragrances irritate your skin. I personally have really sensitive skin and I didn’t have any issues with this product whatsoever.
I really enjoyed using this product. This was mostly because you can grossly see it working into your pores. I am one of those people that takes a strange satisfaction in removing pore strips and I’m pretty sure most people out there are the same (if you say you’re not then I don’t believe you 😉 ).
This product gives me the same satisfaction as a pore strip. I can see it working on my blemishes, even the smaller ones that I didn’t notice before.
As I wash the mask off it gently exfoliates my skin. Afterwards my skin feels tight and soft. I don’t think it has any brightening effect on my complexion but I do think it has soothing qualities as any redness on my skin is reduced. The following day my makeup application is a lot more smooth and easier.
When I first tried the mask I applied it all over my face but I’ve since just used it on problem areas because I’ve been trying to combat my dry skin. I found using it just on my problem areas works best for me. I will say that a little goes a long way. One small 10g sample can be used three or four times.
This mask is definitely on the pricey side. It worked for me but I know it doesn’t work for everyone. I recommend trying to get your hands on a small size tubs as I know Sephora do small sizes. I’ve seen a lot of people getting samples from their pharmacy or in Mecca (if you’re also in Australia).
I won’t be purchasing a full size straight away because of the price. I think this would be a great gift for any beauty lover though. I think this is a great mask for someone who suffers with breakouts , someone who has large pores from having acne or for someone with oily skin.
Let me know if you’ve tried it and your thoughts as I’m interested to know 🙂
