Since getting The Balms Mary Lou Manizer I’ve been dying to try more of their products because that highlight certainly lived up to all the hype! The next The Balm product I bought was Meet Matt(e) Hughes and I was delighted to get the shade commuted especially since it’s always selling out. I’m Obsessed with liquid lipsticks and this one didn’t disappoint.
‘Introducing a truly loyal long-lasting liquid lipstick—Meet Matt(e) Hughes. With eight dreamy shades to choose from, you can take your pick from this hopelessly devoted collection. This long-wearing formula has a comfortable matte finish with no commitment issues. These matte vanilla mint liquid lipsticks are stuck on you without feeling clingy!’
First off the scent is delicious! It’s like mint chocolate, yum! I also love The Balm’s vintage style packaging.
The formula is thin and not at all sticky. It’s really light weight and comfortable when applied. It doesn’t dry in quickly. I would say it takes 1-2 hours for it to completely dry.
The small doe foot makes application really easy but I still like to wear a lip liner like I usually would with any lipstick.
The colour is really pigmented and I love the shade, very 90’s and I can’t wait to get more. Committed is a true brown, dark nude that you’d imagine Kylie Jenner would love.
This lasts all day long! For at least 7 hours even after eating and drinking.
Like all liquid matte lipsticks this was a bit drying but in comparison to others I’ve tried it wasn’t as bad and I think it’s because it takes a long time to actually dry. I recommend wearing a lip balm too if your lips tend to dry out. If you love liquid lipsticks like I do then you will love these.
PS. Excuse my eyebrows I am going on holidays next week and have been waiting to get them done 🙂
I picked mine up from Cloud 10 beauty who are an Irish company that also deliver overseas. Click here for more info.
Have you tried any of these? What’s your fave shade?
