Christmas is fast approaching and I don’t know about you but I’m starting to plan my outfits and thinking of makeup looks to go with them! I’m obsessed with red lipstick and what better excuse to wear red lipstick than Christmas. Today I’m going to give you some ideas of red lipsticks you can wear and most of them are very affordable! Here’s some of my favourite shades and why!
Penny’s/Primark Matte Lipstick
I’ll start with one of the latest reds to my collection and that the Penny’s/ Primark matte lipstick. Unfortunately I don’t think these have shade names but I’ll let that slide because I love it so much!
This is a ruby red shade that I think is perfect for paler skin colours. It’s really long lasting and is well underpriced at €2.50. Unfortunately for my Aussie followers we don’t have this brand here but if you send the girls over at Little Luxuries From Home a picture of products you want, they will pick it up for you and send it over!!!
Rimmel London Kate Moss Shade 110
This was my very first red lipstick that I bought about 5 years ago. It’s an orange red that is super bright and I love it! It’s a great day time red that’s really creamy and comfortable on the lips.
Rimmel London Kate Moss Shade 111
Sticking with Kate moss and the shade 111 is a true red colour that will look good on any skin colour. I think this colour is a must have in every girls collection. Just like the one before, this one is really creamy and comfortable to wear.
Maybelline Color Drama Shade: Red Essential
This is a dark red that’s seriously opaque and creamy. It screams romantic dinner to me. This is the perfect shade for a lot of skin tones. If you’d like to see a full review of these then click here.
Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Shade: CR340
This is the perfect red if you want something more subtle for day time. It’s a really flattering shade for most skin tones. It’s seriously pigmented and seriously matte so if your lips tend to dry out you will need lip balm. Overall I think this is a gorgeous shade that really warms up the skin.
Rimmel London Provocalips Shade: Play With Fire
This is a really dark red that’s so so Chritmassy! It has the colour on one end and the balm on the other so it’s perfect for your Christmas party for a long lasting night time look
Mac Cosmetics Shade: All Fired Up
Last but by no means least is my favourite of all. It’s Mac All fired up. This is a retro matte finish so really opaque and long lasting. It looks like velvet. What can I say only that you need this!
